Our First Mystery Dinner

Chris and I were invited to hang out with some friends, but with a twist.  We were given characters, told to dress the part, and then had to figure out who killed who over a delicious dinner.  We had a blast.  The pictures speak for themselves.

Reading our next chapter of info

It got harder and harder to concentrate and keep a straight face.

Chris was very creeped out by our friend in black.  Her character was very mysterious.  We talked her into scaring him later on in the evening...
He freaked out!   It was awesome!

It's Baseball Season!

Thanks to Grandpa,  we got some great shots of the boys during their last game.  Caleb is on a typical 3-4 year old team which turns into a tackling football team any time the ball is hit into the field.  He loves batting but benched himself when it was his team's turn to catch.
Adam continues to hone his skills on a really great 6 year old Coach's Pitch team. He's had the same great coach for a few years now.  He is mostly playing 1st base, bats left but throws right, and loves it all.
That's Caleb at the front making the snag.

Making the catch and then making the throw

How Big Is Caleb These Days?

Well, he fits easily inside 2 milk crates.

Caleb the Brave at Little Gym

Caleb is pretty fearless when it comes to trying stuff at Little Gym.  Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
Taught himself this one

Didn't predict he would let go of the bar

Uncle Brian Visits

Brian took a two week burn job in Louisiana and sandwiched that with 2 visits with us!  It was awesome to hang out and eat and eat and eat.  Adam and Caleb had a ton of fun with their uncle and can't wait to go visit him next in Oregon!
We went straight from the airport to eat our favorite pizza and beer at Mellow Mushroom.
Had some Christmas family time

Went to New Orleans for a Hornets game and ate at the Camellia Grill for breakfast.  Mmmm.

Went to eat and drink some more on the North Shore and dip our shoes in Lake Pontchartrain.

Caleb tried to hitch a ride back to Oregon with the luggage.
Finally it was time to say goodbye!  We miss you Uncle Brian!  Thanks for coming to play!

Christmas 2012

I'm playing catch-up.  Apparently with 2 iPhone, 1 family camera, and 1 video camera, I can't get all my pictures from one activity loaded on the computer with any sort of patience or enthusiasm.  I just haven't figured it out yet.  Hang with me.

Merry Christmas 2012!   We had a nice one with the four of us at home this year with both boys extremely interested in the traditions of this very special month.  Questions, questions, questions!  We really had to be on our toes with coordinated answers to how things work.  Marley, our elf, was diligent in watching and reporting the boys' moves to Santa.  After our Christmas, we had a get-together in Winnfield and another in Pineville with extended family.
