Day 3

Day 3 we attempted a MODERATE dirt road.  This is the only picture we got after we survived the sketchy turn around after changing our minds. Memories!

We headed to St. Mary's Glacier.  Not a legit glacier, but close enough to pretend.

Had to do a bit of a hike to get there.
Cute picture.  That peak in the distance was on our way to the glacier.

We stopped to eat our lunch with a chipmunk.

We made it.  Check out that view.

Time to play

Caleb in his element

Got home with time to grill and dive in the hot tub!

Day 2

We headed out of Breckenridge into the mountains on a dirt road labeled EASY.  Not too bad, but some bumps and some very steep cliffs outside the passenger side window.

Day 1

We started our vacation by getting to know our immediate surroundings; the house, the creek behind it, the ski park, and the grocery.  Some of us also got really familiar with altitude sickness.   Caleb, after complaining of a headache for awhile, suddenly got very nauseous on the gondola.  Not good.  Later that night, he threw up everywhere.  Chris got some pretty extreme headaches and I got a touch of it, but Adam was clear.  Altitude sickness is no joke!

Caleb the Triathlete!

Caleb attempted and completed his first mini-triathlon.  We didn't really know how he would react during the different phases of the race and the toll it may take on his little body.  But,  we took the week prior to practice the swimming, biking, and running, but more importantly, the transitions.  We could not be there to help him with that part and it made us, as parents, the most nervous...Breakdowns more likely then!!  Caleb killed it! He had a quiet determination through the whole race and even though he was tired at the end, he finished strong!  Can't wait to watch him do another one.
Getting ready with numbers and ankle timer
Swimming with a little help from Mommy

First transition good!

1 mile bike ride...good!

Caleb Finishes School

He graduated!!  Caleb had a wonderful year with great friends and a fantastic teacher that we will miss.  He participated in the end of the year program that was adorable.  Back to school in the fall!

Caleb, The Grasshopper

Caleb finished his soccer season with a 7-1 record.  The experience was what you would expect of 4 year olds playing soccer in an "Organized League".   So proud of him!

Making Cheddar...

In my sporadic cheese making career, I've just attempted farmhouse cheddar.  With great results, this will be in the permanent rotation.

My new cheese press!!  Thank you boys!
