Brothers

We've been home for a week and a few days. Things are good, but not nearly sleeping on a schedule yet. Here's big brother Adam holding Caleb. Today is actually the day he was due...Turkey Day.

Healthy!!!!

Caleb, born at 5 lb. 12. oz., dropped to 5 lb. 9.2 oz before leaving the hospital. Today at the pediatrician's office, he weighed 5 lb. 10 oz!!! He's gaining it back slowly but surely. His jaundice is clearing up as well. A few more days of eating and sitting near the sunlight will do it. His doctor also said he's doing great overall!! Can't ask for more than that.

New Pics

I have to give props to Adam. I was wondering how Adam would react to Caleb coming home with us, and I know we are only 4 days into it, but he is a fantastic big brother! He's learning his new role just as we all are, but it melts my heart when I see Adam reach out to Caleb on his own. I've gotten a few pics of these gestures. My Boys Are SOOOOO Cute!!!

I'm multi-tasking!!!

Well, quickly, things are good.
Sleeping...sort of.
Caleb...great baby! Nursing is slow and sleepy, but he's trying.
Adam...much more interested in Caleb and what he's doing now.
Me...recovery is going smoothly and quickly. Not 100%, but on my way.

Here's some updated pics.

Adam has taken to wearing his cowboy hat around the house.
Does Adam look huge now or is it just me?
Headed home.

We Had A Baby!

Caleb's Head
Family of Four!
I'm COLD!!

Well, Caleb Sebastian Holeman entered the world on Friday the 13th of November 2009 at 8:46pm. He's 13 days early, but after seeing low fluid on the ultrasound, I was not allowed to leave the hospital and sent right over to be induced. Labor lasted about 7.5 hours...took about 5 pushes and he was here. Birth and Recovery are going to be cake compared to Adam's arrival. Caleb weighs 5lbs. 12oz. and is 19inches long. He is a skinny kid and has some eating to do to catch up. Big Brother Adam has ignored his new little brother so far. I think the feeling is mutual between them. So, more later...check out the super light hair and eyelashes!! Weird!!

Halloween 09

You all asked for it so here it is...Adam in his costume. I tell you what, it took exactly 1 house for Adam to figure out this Trick Or Treating thing. He is usually stuck to our sides, but tonight he could care less where we were. He literally ran from one house to the next throughout our entire neighborhood. He was all about business at each door too. Ring the doorbell or knock, put down pumpkin bucket, stand back while neighbor answers door and remarks on how cute he is, recites the mandatory "Trick Or Treat", waits for neighbor to bend down and put desired candy in the bucket, picks up bucket and turns in one swift movement, and finally hauls it to the next house while I'm yelling "Thank You"! We had a great night topped off by Tortilla Soup, raiding of the candy bucket, watched Monsters vs. Aliens, and then a contented bedtime. Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Digging through the loot and stuffing our face!

This was Adam's first recognizeable drawing all by himself. I took the picture two days after he drew it so it is kind of faded, but you can totally tell it's a pumpkin. I'm so proud!!
